Choose our flag
The finalists of the My Saint-Martin Flag competition are revealed. Selected by the jury from all the proposals received, these designs now await your voice. From October 14 to 21, 2026, everyone can vote for the flag that best represents Saint-Martin. Your vote will be taken into account alongside the jury's assessment in choosing the territory's flag.
A graphic designer will be engaged to apply technical adjustments to the winning flag. Adjustments may be made at the request of the Collectivité de Saint-Martin, in agreement with the author, to enhance the final design.

A flag designed as a Saint-Martin landscape seen from the land, facing the horizon. It reflects the experience of an athlete who wanted to represent his island, and offers every Saint-Martiner the chance to do so with pride.

A proposal made as a family, whose own story illustrates what Saint-Martin stands for: a land of encounters, cultures, languages and different origins, brought together on one territory. A simple, universal and rooted symbol: a diverse and united island, open to the world, strong in its history, resilient and looking to the future.

To give the French side of the island a flag that carries its soul, one everyone can be proud of. A deliberately simple flag that tells the story of Saint-Martin: Soualiga, the land of salt, a tourism hub driven by its sunshine and turquoise waters, and a symbol of resilience in the face of hardship.

To turn Saint-Martin's diversity into a visual strength, bringing together in one simple symbol the elements that tell the story of its territory, history and island reality. A flag legible from a distance with several levels of meaning: an island French in its institutional roots, Caribbean in its energy, plural in its population, unique in its history and bound to its two-sided island reality.

To highlight the culture, history, beauty, strength and identity of Saint-Martin. A flag that speaks loudly and boldly about who we are: a warm and welcoming people, strong and resilient, connected to our land and sea, proud of our history and conscious of our inheritance.

To represent Saint-Martin as a small island with a strong identity, a deep history and a natural beauty far greater than its size, connecting the land, the sea, cultural symbols, the past and the people who shape the island today. A flag in which every Saint-Martiner can recognise themselves: who we were, who we are, and who we can become.

MSF31
A flag that took shape over time, informed by following the public consultation (questionnaire, conversations, videos and feedback). It brings together sea, sky, sun, land, history, nature, unity and hope, so that every Saint-Martiner can recognise a piece of home in it: a flag rooted in Saint-Martin, not borrowed from elsewhere.

An approach that began with a close reading of the design brief and the ideas from the public consultations. The flag is meant as a rallying point and a foundation for collective identity: simple and legible from afar, rich in meaning up close.
