Saint-Martin is adopting its own flag
A symbol built with you, for all of us. Workshops, online consultation, contest. Every Saint-Martiner has a place in this process.
The project
Why this project?
Since 2007, Saint-Martin has been an Overseas Collectivité with its own governance and institutional autonomy. However, we do not yet have an official symbol that fully reflects our identity, our history, our culture, and our unique way of living together.
This project aims to fill this gap. The Collectivité of Saint-Martin is launching the creation of its flag within a participatory, transparent, and rigorous framework. This flag will not be decreed; it will be built collectively, based on your contributions.
This flag complements existing symbols; it does not replace the French national flag. This is not a referendum. Official adoption is planned for the end of the year 2026.

Official Launch of the "My Saint-Martin Flag" project – April 15, 2026.
